Tennessee Electric Company is an independent custom guitar builder based in Nashville, TN. At Tennessee Electric, every instrument begins with collaboration. They fuse modern tech with reclaimed and historic materials to craft singular, story-rich instruments. Each build reflects their commitment to tone, playability, and design, while maintaining the unique character that defines every Tennessee Electric guitar.

Tennessee Electric asked Forts Studios to create a series of posters that reflected their unique style. The creative brief was simple… just give us something cool. Those are the best projects!

We started by creating illustrations of their guitars using their actual production CAD files as outlines (that was a first for Forts Studios). Next, we brainstormed a list of poster ideas. The only rules were that each poster had to feature a different guitar, and each poster had to be completely unique from the others. No idea was too off-the-wall.

By the end we had a series of prints that were fun, quirky and (if I can say so myself) really cool! This was a fun one for me. I don’t always get to pull out all the stops with a blank slate. It’s feels great to push my creativity every once in a while.
