Project:
Tri-Fold Design
Squidgets are currently in the prototype phase – each one is made by-hand on a 3D printer at the company’s home base in Worcester, Massachusetts. But that doesn’t mean they can’t have the same creative resources that the big companies have. So Forts Studios has partnered with Squidget, Inc. to provide some creative direction as they begin to make their way as a new product manufacturer.
As Squidget planned to attend various trade shows and networking meetings they knew they would need some kind of brochure to explain their product, their goals, and their history as a company. They reached out to Forts Studios to provide a solution.
For this project we went with a tri-fold design for ease in portability. After discussing some initial concepts we decided to format the content in an “FAQ” format to engage readers. It would be easy to read, eye-catching, and it would help us convey a lot of information in a minimum amount of space.
Our font choices and colors were inspired by the Squidget logo, as well as the fidgeting device itself, and we incorporated high-end photography corresponding with each section of content. The end result is a brochure that grabs attention and tells a story. The Squidget team loved the design and it has even inspired new styles of branding in some of their other materials.
